We are proud to offer a comprehensive In-House Therapy Provision that caters to the diverse needs of our students, helping them reach their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.
At Moon Hall School, we offer the following Therapy Services -
Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT): Effective communication is at the heart of every successful learning journey. Our dedicated Speech and Language Therapists work closely with students who may experience difficulties in verbal expression, receptive language, speech and phonological skills, social communication and pragmatic skills or speech articulation. Through tailored intervention and evidence-based strategies, our SaLT team helps students build their communication skills, fostering greater confidence and engagement in the classroom and beyond.
Occupational Therapy (OT): We understand that for some students, everyday tasks may present unique challenges. Our skilled Occupational Therapists address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing issues, and overall self-regulation. By collaboratively developing personalized plans, they help students achieve independence and enhance their ability to participate fully in educational and extracurricular activities.
Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSA): Emotional well-being is crucial for a balanced educational experience. Our dedicated Emotional Literacy Support Assistants work with students experiencing emotional difficulties, providing a safe space for them to express their feelings and concerns. Through individual sessions, they equip students with valuable coping strategies, emotional intelligence, and resilience, fostering a positive and nurturing atmosphere throughout the school community.
Counselling: We recognize that adolescents may face various challenges as they navigate their academic and personal lives. Our school Counsellors offer a confidential and non-judgmental space where students can explore their thoughts and emotions. With empathy and expertise, our Counsellors support students in developing self-awareness, problem-solving skills, and healthy coping mechanisms, promoting overall mental well-being.
As part of our comprehensive In-House Therapy Provision, we are proud to introduce our skilled Therapy Assistants who play a crucial role in supporting students both in the classroom and during therapy sessions. Our Therapy Assistants collaborate closely with teachers to ensure that students with specific therapeutic needs receive the necessary support within the regular classroom setting. By working alongside educators, Therapy Assistants help implement individualised strategies and interventions that promote academic engagement and success.
