Dr Kiran Nijabat is a Consultant Child and adolescent psychiatrist and the founder and director of the Family Wellness Practice.
Dr Kiran graduated from Guys’, King’s and St.Thomas’ Medical school in 2008 and gained an Intercalated BSc in Management from Imperial Business School. She went on to train on the UCL core psychiatry training scheme and the Tavistock higher training scheme.
Kiran is passionate about mental wellness and uses her expertise to educate children, adolescents, their families and professionals through workshops and CPD accredited courses.
In the past 5 years, Kiran has led the Family Wellness Practice team and has developed and delivered ten CPD accredited mental health related courses covering a range of subjects, including mental wellness, building resilience, parenting, self-harm and suicide prevention.
The Family Wellness Practice team have delivered bespoke mental health training and counselling to over 5000 staff parents and students across various sectors including schools, colleges, nurseries, orphanages, residential homes, charities, places of worship and hospital staff.
Dr Kiran is a regular keynote speaker at mental health conferences and has received outstanding feedback both nationally and internationally for her work and strives to be at the forefront of mental health education
Dr Ching Li – Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr Ching Li is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, who is passionate about supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. Ching has expertise in working with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autistic Spectrum Condition and ADHD, trauma, psycho-social and behavioural difficulties as well as mood difficulties.
In addition to her psychiatric experience, she has also had additional experience in multiple psychotherapeutic modalities. This enables her to work in a way that bring about a holistic understanding of a child or young person's mental health and wellbeing, so that they may thrive both academically, psychologically, and socially.
Dr Afshan Khayam - Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr Afshan Khayam is an experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist working at NHS in a substantive role. As one of the lead Psychiatrists in multidisciplinary team, she takes responsibility for diagnosis, management and treatment of neurodevelopmental conditions such as ASD and ADHD, as well as emotional/neurotic disorders.
Dr Khayam has a wide range of experience in working with diverse population, first graduating from Fatima Jinnah medical university in Pakistan, she then started her training in the UK and has been working at the NHS since 2011. She completed her postgraduate training from St Mary’s scheme, London and is a member of Royal college of Psychiatrist (MRCPSYCH) and is on specialist GMC register.
Dr Khayam is passionate about working with young people and their families and providing patient centred and evidence based care.
