Food Technology is a popular subject at Moon Hall.
Pupils will have access to Food Technology lessons either timetabled weekly or through an optional activity for Seniors on Friday afternoons. The lessons will cover an understanding of healthy eating as well as teaching and developing food preparation skills to utilise at home.
GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition specification sets out the knowledge, understanding and skills required to cook and apply the principles of food science, nutrition and healthy eating.
Students must be able to make the connections between theory and practice to apply their understanding of food and nutrition to practical preparation.
