Moon Hall Reigate and Moon Hall Copthorne

Open Morning at Moon Hall

Where children who learn differently are understood, supported, and set free to flourish

Two campuses. One award-winning approach to dyslexia education.

When a child has dyslexia, learning can feel like a daily battle, and the joy of discovery can be overshadowed by frustration. At Moon Hall, that struggle transforms into triumph. For decades, we have helped children rediscover confidence, independence, and the sheer joy of learning, and now families across Surrey and Sussex can experience our approach first-hand.

Whether you are looking for a specialist Prep environment for ages 7 to 11, or a full senior school journey through to GCSE and beyond, our open mornings are the best way to see Moon Hall in action.

Book a Visit

Why Moon Hall

In October 2024, the ISI awarded Moon Hall a Significant Strength for pupil outcomes, an accolade achieved by fewer than 10% of schools. But our most powerful evidence is not found in inspection reports. It is found in the children themselves.

Pupils who arrived anxious, disengaged, or experiencing school refusal go on to complete ambitious GCSE pathways, secure university offers, and return to visit (often the first place they go after passing their driving test) to share their successes.

Under current leadership, the school has grown from 85 to over 200 pupils. That growth reflects parental trust, Local Authority recognition, and measurable impact on the lives of children who learn differently.

A specialist approach, delivered with warmth

At Moon Hall, every child is known, understood, and supported. Specialist teaching is seamlessly integrated into a full mainstream curriculum, meaning children thrive academically while fully participating in school life.

Our approach is built on five values we call KINPA:

  • Kindness rebuilds trust
  • Inclusion removes barriers
  • Nurture regulates anxiety
  • Perseverance sustains effort
  • Aspiration expands possibility

Behind those values sits a rigorous educational model: structured literacy embedded across subjects, explicit vocabulary instruction, retrieval practice that secures long-term memory, assistive technology that normalises access, and an in-house therapy team working alongside teachers every day.

When pupils feel understood, they engage. When they engage, they achieve. When they achieve, their future expands.

Two campuses, one ethos

Moon Hall Reigate (ages 11 to 16)

Our flagship senior school, set in beautiful Surrey grounds, where pupils follow ambitious GCSE pathways through a curriculum that includes Textiles, eSports, and a full breadth of academic subjects. Pupils benefit from in-house therapy, Team Around the Child planning, and a culture that refuses to limit expectations.

Moon Hall Copthorne (ages 7 to 11, opening September 2026)

This September, for the first time in Sussex, Moon Hall brings its award-winning approach to the beautiful Copthorne Prep School campus. Set across 55 acres of inspiring grounds, this new satellite school combines exceptional facilities with the warmth and understanding that define Moon Hall.

The dedicated two-storey building is designed for both focus and freedom. Classrooms are equipped to nurture learning, while outdoor spaces offer room to play, explore, and grow. This partnership brings together decades of specialist expertise with the vibrancy and community of Copthorne Prep.
