Teaching Assistant

Responsible to: Head and SENCo

Hours: 08:00 – 16:00 term time only, including inset days.

Salary: Depending on skills and experience.

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with our pupils in the senior school. The role is for a full time position but we would also consider a job share arrangement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils’ learning in class, small groups or individually, undertaking associated pastoral and administrative duties and general responsibilities as agreed with the Head.
  • Maintaining good order in the classroom and around the school with due regard to the school’s policy on behaviour and discipline.
  • Assisting with break time and lunch time duties.
  • Providing a good role model for pupils.
  • Safeguarding the health and safety of self, pupils and others in accordance with the school’s Health and Safety Policy.

L7 SpLD/Exam Access Arrangements

Responsible to: Headteacher/SENCo

Hours: 8 hours per week – 38 weeks per year – term time only (hours and days by agreement with the SENCo and Headteacher), permanent post.

Salary: £20 – £22 per hour

The candidate would support the Special Education Needs department, ensuring exam access arrangements are effectively and efficiently managed and co-ordinated across the site.
