Multi Award winning Mainstream Dyslexia Specialist School for years 3 to 11

Welcome to Moon Hall, Reigate

Thank you for visiting our website – it is only a small indicator of our exceptional school and I am delighted to introduce myself and provide a short insight to explain why Moon Hall School Reigate is the best choice you could make for your dyslexic child. I hope you will find the information helpful – and that you are inspired to visit us.

This August, together with our year 11 pupils, for the second year in a row, Moon Hall School Reigate celebrated the most amazing GCSE results. Our pupils smashed  many of their targets and on many occasions surpass our predicted grades. The value added that our Teachers bring is clearly evident when comparing predicted grades to what our pupils finally achieve.

Our wonderful students all progressed to their first choice destinations and we are extremely proud of their hard work and marvellous achievements. Their success was greatly enhanced by the superb academic and pastoral support from our dedicated, specialist staff.

The balance between providing a nurturing, supportive environment for dyslexic children, whilst also ensuring essential academic rigour, is evidenced through these phenomenal GCSE achievements. I can confirm, with confidence, that our pupils leave here happy, independent, motivated and well equipped to take on future challenges using skills developed and instilled here.

In many subjects our students achieved 100% pass rate at GCSE. By using 5 exam boards, and offering a variety of GCSE and BTEC options, our intention is to ensure that each child has the best opportunity to succeed.

Our pupils are encouraged to embrace their wonderful and often creative way of thinking and celebrate – not fear – their dyslexia (after all, they are in illustrious company – including Walt Disney, Richard Branson and Albert Einstein). We understand that for some children school will be challenging but, by providing specialist support, we ensure that all our pupils will achieve their potential during their time here.  The evidence is that a well-supported child, one benefitting from dedicated teaching,  can reach beyond original expectations. We invest significantly in ensuring that our teaching staff are highly trained in the best methods to meet the needs of our pupils and we focus on staying up to date with research and advancements in teaching dyslexic and dyscalculic pupils.
